post for perry

"More cats," he said. He requested current (2008) photos. I suspect it was just to make sure that I haven't yet killed them with kindness (or cruelty). Not all of these are 2008, as you can see by the summery polish on my toenail if you enlarge the first picture (which I wouldn't necessarily recommend doing), but 2/3 are relatively recent.

Top (l-r): Darth regally reclining between kitchen and hallway; Curlicue sleeping like a baby on the back of the couch.
Middle (l-r): Curli goofing off as I vacuum; Darth's personal water fountain (too bad he can't turn it on & off himself).
Bottom (l-r): Bookend kitties; cuddle time (a fight's about to ensue over who gets the back of the chair)

  1. Your kitties look like a playful pair.

  2. Wow! Those are great pics of the cats! Thanks! How ever did you get the cats to do the bookend pose, because that is a money shot!!! :)

  3. The cats are nice. Since you're honoring requests, how 'bout some cowboy pics?! heehee!

  4. Playful, yes, and they have distinct personalities. Curli is outgoing & super-affectionate, a veritable lap cat if ever there was; she constantly follows me about the house. Darth is more timid & reserved, but very sweet-natured (except when he's battling stuffed toy kitty).

No posing involved; they just decided to cooperate for a change and stay put long enough for the camera.

They're nice, but awfully hairy, which is decidedly NOT nice. I'll see if I can find some cowboys 'round these parts. I know a friend with cows...

  5. I was thinking...perhaps a motion sensor located by the faucet/taps for that sink near the entrance would be a great way for the kitties to get their fresh running water anytime they want. No buttons to push, nothing to turn...I'm sure they could learn real quick how to stand/balance at a certain place to make the water "magically" turn on for themselves. :)

  6. By the way, these pics really make me want to come out to Ottawa again. I'll see what I can arrange with Mom & Dad and myself. This time 'round I want to stay longer. :) I'm compiling a list of places I want to visit out in your fair city. :)

  7. I might as well add one more comment while I'm at it...those pictures really do capture the essence of both your cats and their individual personalities. Maybe it's just 'cause I know them both, but I can almost sense what both of them are thinking at those exact moments that the pictures were taken. These pics put such a smile on my face...Darth and Curli rule!!! :)

  8. Heh heh, ok, it's been a few days since you posted those pics, but I keep coming back looking at them! Darthy-boy and Curlicue pics just put a smile on my face, I cannot help it. Those two cats have me wrapped around their little furry little paws. And I like it!!! :)

best regards, your brother "that's a dirty trick - 1971", perry
